I am a single mother and who has been married, divorced, and homeless. Although, I have encountered unforeseen circumstances; failure is not an option for me. I can assure you with the knowledge I have been blessed with over the years; I am confident in my ability to be a superior asset to the trucking industry. I pride myself on my motivation to never give up. Trucking will not be just a job but a lifestyle change.

Willow Martin - leadership

One thing I enjoy the most about my job is the social interaction with all of our drivers. They truly make working in HR great. I am committed to a career in trucking because without the trucking industry, products you see in stores would not be there. This industry helps the world go around and I am proud to be a small part of that.

I intend to become the best truck driver that I possibly can be and dedicate myself to the industry as much as I had dedicated myself to the field of education. This will be the final career of my life and I believe it will be an incredibly adventurous one.

I have chosen a career in civil engineering, specifically transportation, because it seems to have one of the most direct impacts on people’s lives. With technology developing at such a rapid rate, the need for efficient and thoughtful planning is in need now more than ever. Transportation engineering seems to be the best way to fulfill all of my career goals.

Trucking for women builds confidence, independence and a sustainable income. Women currently make up only 6.6% of truck drivers. Moving forward there is no reason why women can not expand their numbers in this field and be equally productive.
